How Planetary Movements Affect You

Astrology transits is a powerful tool that helps us understand the timing of events in our lives. One of the best ways to use astrology for predictions is by studying transits—the movement of planets in the sky and how they interact with the planets in our birth chart.

I’ve been working with astrology for many years, and I can confidently say that astrology transits are one of the most reliable ways to see what’s coming. They help us prepare for challenges, take advantage of opportunities, and understand the lessons the universe is trying to teach us.

What Are Transits in Astrology?

In simple terms, a transit happens when a planet in the sky moves over a specific point in your birth chart. Since all the planets are constantly moving, they form new connections with the planets and houses in your chart every day. These connections can bring important changes, challenges, or opportunities.

For example:

  • When Jupiter (the planet of expansion) transits your career sector, you might get a job promotion or a new opportunity.
  • When Saturn (the planet of responsibility) transits your relationship sector, you might experience challenges in your personal connections or even make a serious commitment like marriage.
  • When Pluto (the planet of transformation) transits your identity sector, you may go through a deep personal transformation, changing how you see yourself and your life direction.

By understanding these movements, you can use astrology transits as a roadmap to navigate your life with greater awareness.

Why Exact Birth Time Matters

One of the most important things to remember when working with astrology transits is that you need the most accurate birth time possible. Your birth time determines your rising sign (Ascendant) and the placement of all the houses in your chart. Even a small difference in time can shift the house placements, changing how transits affect you.

For example:

  • If your birth time is off by 30 minutes, a Saturn transit that should affect your career (10th house) might instead show up in your friendship sector (11th house), leading to completely different experiences and timing.
  • If Pluto is transiting your 4th house (home and family) but your birth time is slightly off, you might think Pluto is transforming your 5th house (creativity and romance) instead.

This is why I always emphasize getting the most accurate birth time possible—from a birth certificate, hospital records, or family recollection. It makes a huge difference in accurate predictions.

Practical Examples of Transits in Famous People’s Lives

To understand how transits work in real life, let’s look at some famous people and the events that happened during their major transits.

  1. Barack Obama – Mercury, Sun and Jupiter Conjunct His Ascendent
  • In January 20th  2009, was Barack Obama inauguration as President of the U.S., Mercury, Sun and Jupiter in transit conjunct his natal Jupiter and Ascendant. Also making a trine to natal moon on 5th house.
  • Saturn in transit making a conjunction to natal Marsh on 8th house

  1. Elon Musk – Jupiter Conjunct His Midheaven
  • In October 28, 2022 Musk closed the deal immediately becoming Twitter’s new owner and CEO.
  • At that time, Jupiter was conjunct his Midheaven, and making a trine to natal Neptune on 6th house (on the cusp, affecting also 5th house) and natal Jupiter 5th house.

These examples show how astrology transits align with real-life events, making astrology a powerful predictive tool when used correctly.

How to Use Transits in Your Own Life

If you want to use transits to understand your own life, here’s a simple approach:

  1. Identify Major Transits
  • Look at where Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune are moving in your chart.
  • Pay attention to conjunctions, squares, and oppositions with your natal planets.
  • Remember personal planets have also an impact and in many cases the act as triggers for important events.
  1. Know the Timing
  • Transits have a buildup phase (before the exact aspect), a peak moment (when the transit is exact), and a fading phase (as the planet moves away).
  • Knowing these phases can help you prepare for major life events.
  1. Track Your Own Patterns
  • Look at past years and see when you had big life changes, then check what transits were happening at that time.
  • This will help you understand how transits affect your life.

Final Thoughts

Astrology transits are an amazing tool for predicting and understanding life events. They help us navigate challenges, take advantage of opportunities, and make sense of the changes happening around us.

By studying famous examples, we see that transits really do align with major life events. And by using them in our own lives—with the most accurate birth time possible—we can prepare for what’s ahead and move through life with greater awareness and confidence.

So next time you feel a major shift happening in your life, check the transits—you might be surprised at what the planets have to say! ✨
